How I Work With Clients | Michelle Plant, Cabot AR Realtor

How I Work With Clients

A lot of people ask me what makes working with a realtor actually feel different from one agent to the next. It's a fair question, since on paper, most of us are doing the same job: writing offers, scheduling inspections, negotiating terms. But how an agent shows up for you day to day is where it actually matters. So here's an honest look at how I work.

The First Few Minutes Matter Most

In the first few minutes of meeting a new client, my focus is entirely on them as a person. Where their head is at, what they're worried about, where they need the most support and understanding. Tone and body language tell me a lot, something I picked up years ago in the dance studio, but what people don't say tells me just as much.

That attention to the individual is, more than anything, what people tell me they remember. I get calls all the time after a deal closes, and it's rarely about the house. It's clients thanking me for something I did as a person, not as their realtor. That's the part that means the most to me.

I'll Always Tell You the Truth

I'm brutally honest with my clients. But I won't bring you a problem without also bringing a solution, or at the very least, a clear understanding of why the issue exists if it can't be fixed. You deserve to know what you're dealing with and what your options are, not just that something's wrong.

Firm, But Never Personal

My negotiation style is firm but collaborative. I won't fold on my client, but I'm also not going to lose a deal by being stubborn or letting things get personal. I build my case on facts, not emotion. You study, you find the evidence that supports what you're asking for, and you make your argument from there. It's just good business.

The Relationship Doesn't End at Closing

I've officiated weddings for former clients, been invited to graduations, baby showers, housewarmings, cookouts. We stay in touch on Facebook, laugh about things that happened while we were working together, and check in on each other just because. That's not something that happens by accident. It's what happens when a deal was never just a transaction to begin with.

Let's Work Together

If you're thinking about buying or selling in Cabot, Jacksonville, Lonoke, or anywhere in Central Arkansas, I'd love to be the realtor you call. Give me a call or send me a message, I'd love to hear your story.
